File: IGB - LEARNING SUPPORT SERVICES PROGRAMSTo support the classroom activities and other instructional needs of the District, various educational services as listed shall be provided. The Learning Support Services staff will work in cooperation with building staff and the administration of the District in (1) the coordination and the supervision of the curriculum implementation of the instructional program, and (2) support services programs.
Curricular Supervision and Coordination
Coordinating personnel for specific curricular areas shall be assigned by the administration. These coordinators shall assist in the organization, supervision, and coordination of subject material and activities in the schools.
Support Services
The Director of Special Education shall be responsible for all programs for educationally handicapped and gifted students' psychological services, speech correction, homebound and hospital teaching and such other programs as may be assigned to the Learning Support Services.
