Adult Education Program Approval

The School Committee will approve the operation of such programs of adult education as will contribute to the fullest extent to the education of all citizens of Framingham, regardless of age.

Tuition Fees

The School Committee will waive tuition fees at the Framingham Adult Evening School for students recommended by the South Middlesex Opportunity Council.

Tuition fees of Framingham residents may be waived at the discretion of the Director of the Adult Evening School in cases of verified financial need.

Changes in the rate of registration or tuition fee shall be recommended to the School Committee for approval when they become necessary to sustain the program.

Adult Evening School

1. The Adult Evening High School Program shall include enrichment courses for high school students and adults, courses of community interest, and courses designed to assist adults in completing their high school diploma requirements.

2. High School students attending the Adult Evening School to earn graduation credits must have their programs approved by their principal and the administration of the Adult Evening School.

Adult Basic Education and ESL Program

1. Framingham Adult ESL will provide adult literacy, GED programs, citizenship classes, and ESL classes to the extent that support is available from FPS, DESE grants. And outside sources.

2. Framingham Adult ESL will support district goals and initiatives to the extent possible with available funding.
